Merriam-Webster’s Online Dictionary defines family as “a group of individuals living under one roof, traditionally consisting of two parents rearing their children..” In my opinion, Merriam-Webster’s description of family is too blah and boring; but, then again, dictionaries are merely reflections of the society in which they are written..
